RAINQUEEN: I am a rainmaker I make products for my little business called Rain –a job creation initiative that makes sublime,honest,and wholesome body and bath products. I gain purpose and pleasure from giving. I love my husband and the simple things in life, my dog, my cat and my simple farm house and country lifestyle. Tea and scones on the verandah, riding on country roads with my vespa, picnics and pottering in my garden. I spend my days doing what I love best -working hard,creating, and sourcing precious things for my little factory – running my business and trying to keep it from running me. I have many people dependant on me for their livelihoods, and I often feel like a mommy bird coming home to a nest of hungry chicks – all screaming for my attention. So I escape occasionally. Born with an insatiable wanderlust, I pack my trusty leather bag, and head out on the hunt - looking for interesting ingredients, raw materials, fabrics, accessories for my stores. It is a dream job. So join me on my ingredient journeys to exotic places and share with me the ups and downs of running my own little business way down south at the southern most tip of Africa.
